Xiaomi’s upcoming 12T Pro is rumored to sport 200MP main rear cameraand in mid-August, an image purporting to show the island with a camera was leaked. Today, another leaked image, this time showing a render of the Xiaomi 12T Pro next to a Redmi Pad, confirms the island design and the presence of a 200MP camera.
This comes from one of Twitter’s most prolific tipsters and the comparison between the 12T Pro and the also unannounced Redmi Pad is interesting as the latter has to make do with an 8MP camera on the back. They’re very different devices, one in the ‘T’ range of ‘affordable flagships’ or ‘flagship killers’ if you will, the other clearly intended as a budget entry-level tablet.
Despite their differences, both will appear soon, and there’s a chance they could be revealed at the same time. The Xiaomi 12T Pro is rumored to be rebranded Redmi K50 Ultrawhich was launched in the Chinese market last month, with the only improvement being the main camera.
If it comes out, then expect the 12T Pro to come with a 6.67-inch 1220×2712 144Hz OLED touchscreen, Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset, 8/12GB RAM, 128/256/512GB storage, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro camera, a 20 Mpx selfie camera and a 5,000 mAh battery with 120W fast cable charging.
From these specs, the SoC and odd screen resolution have been confirmed by a listing in Google Play Console.
