Google Pixels 7 and 7 Pro prototypes leak in hands-on video

When Google revealed Pixel 7 and 7 Pro a few months ago, it only teased photos of it and confirmed that it will bring a second-generation Tensor SoC. Since then, we’ve seen a few live images slip through the cracks, but now we’re getting a full look at the hardware in Unbox Therapyuser’s latest video.

Louis took some hardware measurements using a caliper. For information, Google Pixel 6 Pro it measures 163.9 x 75.9 x 8.9mm – the Pixel 7 Pro is roughly the same size, slightly narrower at 73.2mm wide, with just 0.1mm shaved off its thickness. Both Pro phones have the same thickness of 11.5mm on the camera bar.

The Pixel 7 is slightly shorter than the 6 and slightly narrower. The Pixel 6 it measures 158.6mm in length, FYI. Additionally, while Pixel 6 it has a diameter of 14.9 mm, the Pixel 7 is 13.2 mm.

The Pixel 7 Pro appears to have a less aggressive bezel display taper, and its camera bar and chassis have a polished finish, while the one on the Pixel 7 has more of an anodized aluminum look. We also noticed that these models don’t have dual-tone finishes like the Pixel 6 series. Perhaps this is due to their prototype hardware.

According to previous rumors, the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will go up for pre-order from October 6th with general availability on October 13th. Google has to confirm this data, so it can change.
